4-year PhD Studentship Cardiff School Of Mathematics

With Welsh-medium teaching requirement

Applications are invited for a PhD research studentship in
any of the following areas of Mathematics, to start on 1st
October:

Analysis Computational Rheology Operator Algebras Numerical Analysis Fluid Mechanics Noncommutative GeometryInverse Problems Statistics CombinatoricsMathem atics of Materials Operational Research Number Theory

Candidates should hold, or expect to hold, a first degree
in Mathematics with at least upper second class honours.
Candidates must be proficient in Welsh and will be expected
to undertake some Welsh-medium teaching within the School.
The studentship is for 4 years, covering an annual stipend
(starting �12,300) and tuition fees. For information
